Babcock Named to AGree Research Committee

Bruce A. Babcock, professor of economics and director of the Center for Agricultural and Rural Development, has been named a member of the Research Committee of AGree, a recently launched food and agriculture initiative. AGree was created by eight prominent foundations to meet pressing challenges in food and agriculture policy by working across the academic and political spectrum. The Research Committee is drawn from experts in several academic disciplines with “a wealth of scientific food and agriculture knowledge matched with a working understanding of federal policy and markets.” Support for the initiative comes from the Ford Foundation, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, The William & Flora Hewlett Foundation, W.K. Kellogg Foundation, The McKnight Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation, The David and Lucile Packard Foundation and The Walton Family Foundation.
